Stay at Spa launches European platform for spa hotel bookings

TALLINN, Estonia — 12 September 2026 — Estonian travel company Stay at Spa has launched an online booking service focused on spa and wellness hotels, beginning commercial operations in the European travel market.

The Tallinn-based company has developed the service around hotels that offer spa, thermal and wellness facilities. The platform is now live and provides hotel information and accommodation booking functionality.

Stay at Spa is initially concentrating on European destinations, where spa tourism represents an established part of the hospitality industry. The company plans to develop its hotel network progressively, adding properties and destinations as its operations expand.

Focus on spa accommodation

The company's initial offering covers accommodation with facilities such as spas, thermal pools, saunas, treatment areas and wellness services.

The decision to concentrate on this category represents a narrower market approach than that of general online travel agencies, which typically cover accommodation across a wide range of property types.

“Launching the service marks the beginning of the company's commercial operations,” said Taavi Tammpere, founder of Stay at Spa. “The immediate objective is to establish the platform in the market, develop relationships with hotels and understand demand across the initial European markets.”

The company will track booking activity and hotel participation during its initial operating period. The results will be used to inform decisions about the expansion of its hotel network and geographic coverage.

European starting point

Europe was selected as Stay at Spa's initial market because of its established network of spa hotels, thermal destinations and wellness resorts.

The region includes traditional spa destinations in Central Europe, Nordic markets with established sauna and bathing cultures, and resort markets in Southern Europe. The company intends to develop coverage across these different types of destinations rather than concentrate on a single national market.

Stay at Spa will add properties to its platform as it establishes relationships with hotels and other accommodation providers.

Commercial operations

The launch follows the completion of the company's initial booking infrastructure and marks the transition from development to commercial operation.

During the initial phase, Stay at Spa will focus on expanding its hotel inventory, developing its relationships with accommodation providers and continuing work on the platform's booking and hotel information systems.

The company has not announced a fixed timetable for expansion beyond its initial European focus.

Stay at Spa is headquartered in Tallinn, Estonia, and its booking service is available at https://stayatspa.com/
