Stay at Spa is initially concentrating on European destinations, where spa tourism represents an established part of the hospitality industry. The company plans to develop its hotel network progressively, adding properties and destinations as its operations expand. Focus on spa accommodation The company's initial offering covers accommodation with facilities such as spas, thermal pools, saunas, treatment areas and wellness services. The decision to concentrate on this category represents a narrower market approach than that of general online travel agencies, which typically cover accommodation across a wide range of property types. “Launching the service marks the beginning of the company's commercial operations,” said Taavi Tammpere, founder of Stay at Spa. “The immediate objective is to establish the platform in the market, develop relationships with hotels and understand demand across the initial European markets.” The company will track booking activity and hotel participation during its initial operating period.
