There is rarely anyone who doesn’t crave for a beautiful and youthful skin. For a woman, wrinkles, crow’s feet, fine lines, laugh lines, and dark spots are the biggest nightmares. The craze for a young-looking skin has led to not only treatments like botox being popularized but also weird snail facials, placenta facials being tried by many women the world over. It’s true that we cannot run away from aging, it will catch up with us sooner rather than later, but another truth is that we can delay it with some anti-aging remedies. There are several home remedies that can help you fight aging without having to resort to chemical treatments.

Ditch that wrinkle cream, look around your kitchen and you’ll be in for a surprise with so many anti-aging solutions before your eyes. Here’s a list of home remedies that have anti-aging effects:

Yogurt Pack- Yogurt is a rich source of wrinkle-preventing nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and fats which keep the skin fresh and hydrated. Mix two teaspoons of yogurt, one teaspoon honey, one teaspoon fresh lemon juice and a pinch of turmeric together. Pour the oil inside a vitamin E capsule into the pack. Mix well, apply this all over your face, and leave it on for 10-15 minutes before rinsing with warm water. Doing this two to three times in a week is enough.

Tighten Skin with Rose Water- More or less, each one of us are aware of the regenerating properties of rose water. Rose water is an effective cleanser that can help remove the dirt clogging the pores of the skin, and it also has an astringent action which means it tightens the skin, which helps it to give firmness and reduce the puffiness under the eyes. Mix two teaspoons of rose water, half teaspoon lemon juice, and few drops of glycerine together. Take a cotton ball, dip it in the mixture and apply it all over the face. Do this every other night before going to bed.

Banana Pack- Banana can do more than just fill you up at breakfast. It is known to boost production of collagen that is known to keep skin aging at bay. Make a mixture by adding one teaspoon honey and one teaspoon rose water into chopped and mashed banana (one). After that add one teaspoon yogurt and mix until you get a smooth, homogenous paste. Apply this pack and leave it on for 20 minutes before rinsing with cool water. Repeat this one to two times a week.

Coconut Milk- This tropical fruit is a treasure-trove of vitamins and minerals; it also has the ability to moisturize your skin and keep it soft, supple and radiantly young. The antioxidants it has and its anti-inflammatory properties are known to keep the wrinkles away. You’ll just need a cotton ball and three tablespoons coconut milk. Soak the cotton ball in coconut milk and apply it over the face. Leave it on for 20 minutes before rinsing with cool water. Use the coconut milk pack 2-3 times in a week.

There are many effective treatment options as well, with Botox, Juvederm treatments, New Jersey being the most popular ones for treating wrinkles. Both are relatively quick treatments, taking just minutes to complete. It is advisable that you undergo skin treatment only in consultation with your doctor.
